Leave your limits behind, to leave MS behind!
Hey, my name is Jessi!
My Dad was diagnosed with MS a couple of years ago and when I first learned about it I realised that I actually didn’t really know anything about this disease. So here is a short definition:
Multiple sclerosis (MS) is a chronic autoimmune disease that affects the brain and spinal cord. In MS, the coating that protects the nerves (Myelin) is damaged. This damage disrupts the ability of parts of the nervous system to transmit signals, resulting in a range of symptoms. Some people may be only mildly affected. Others may lose the ability to see clearly, write, speak, or walk. Most people are diagnosed between the age of 20 and 50 with women being three times more likely to contract MS.
The worst thing about it?
There is still no cure.
More research is needed and I am ready to make a difference!
So this May I am participating in the “May 50k Challenge” to leave my limits and MS behind.
Bin stolz auf dich 😘
